AwesomeCon DC: Featuring Real Life Heroes

Slider_Graphic_Thanks

Nothing says Easter like the Dread Pirate Roberts, Samwise Gamgee, Invader Zim, and the Civil Rights movement. Or at least, nothing says holiday to a fangirl than celebrating the day immersed in panels of fandom, surrounded by proudly costumed nerds. Even…

Teaming up for Black Blood

The paintman is back. There were some sight-issues which kept me from driving or basically doing most of the things humans do. Surgery was the solution and after surgery there was an event happening on the 9th of March. Last year I was approached by our well-known Ruth. Drop the quarter in!

Having just finished reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, I am having some trouble resisting reading it again. The book is a very well written piece of pure nostalgia, combined with a large dose of science fiction. The world…

Calling all Antiheroes!

I hope you all enjoyed last month’s read and that you have checked out some of those great web-comics. This time I would like to talk about something else. I think you all have a great mental image of the stereotypical comic…

Bookmark Worthy Web-comics

A folder of bookmarks filled with top web comics. Sound familiar? Out of the great amount of bookmarks I keep, there are some comics that have peaked my interest and kept it for the last couple of years. I want…

The Quality of Visible Music

An independent music magazine with a modern layout, printed on glossy paper? Sounds like a niche of good taste. And Jazz thing is just that! 1993. At the age of 25, Axel Stinshoff started his very own music magazine. Initially,…
